HOLMDEL HALF CENTURY CLUB
If you are a Holmdel resident over 50 years of age and would like to expand your recreational and social horizons, you should definitely join the Holmdel Half Century Club, which always welcomes new members.
It offers many great social activities for all - including very modestly priced luncheons, day trips, overnight trips, Broadway plays, Atlantic City trips, etc.
There are also special interest groups, including a park walking group, a bocce ball group, a ping-pong group and a Mah Jongg group.
The Holmdel Senior/Community Center is open to Club members for activities and socialization every Thursday.
Regular Club meetings are held in the Senior/Community Center at noon on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Light refreshments are provided at these meetings, and occasionally there are even luncheons.
Some meetings feature guest speakers covering topics of interest to seniors.
Dues are only $20 per year, and active members get more than their money's worth, just in refreshments and reduced activities' costs.
I have been a member of the HHCC for many years, and have thoroughly enjoyed the multiple events it has offered. If you are old enough, you really don't want to miss this opportunity.
To join the Club, contact membership chairman Tom King at 732-264-4131.
