Go Fossil Hunting In Holmdel At Annual Event (patch.com) — Families in Holmdel can step into the Cretaceous era this Saturday by joining Citizens for Informed Land Use and paleontologist Kevin Borrelli for a hands-on fossil hunt along the Ramanessin Trail stream. Kids and adults can search for shark teeth and other fossils, then visit educational booths and art displays at Village School, all at a free, drop-in community event.

The 31-minute film shares firsthand stories from New Jersey Vietnam veterans and Gold Star families, extending the Holmdel museum's mission of remembrance and education to audiences nationwide.
   

3. Shore Sports Insider Football Top 12, Week Four (shoresportsinsider.com) — Holmdel's football team holds the No. 6 spot in the Shore Sports Insider Top 12 after a 28-14 win over St. John Vianney, powered by a big night from sophomore quarterback Tommy Fletcher. The Hornets' only loss is to No. 3 Rumson-Fair Haven, and they now face top-ranked Red Bank Catholic on Friday. The rankings also track key matchups shaping divisional races across the Shore Conference.
   

4. New Jersey Lawmakers Move to Criminalize Funding Behind Riots and Violent Protests (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Holmdel residents are represented by two lawmakers backing a new bill that would criminalize financing riots and violent disorderly conduct, extending liability beyond those physically participating. Assembly Republicans Gerry Scharfenberger and Victoria Flynn, whose 13th District includes Holmdel and nearby towns, say the measure targets people who knowingly fund criminal acts tied to demonstrations while leaving lawful, peaceful protests untouched.
