Prom Night Dangers Lecture At Raritan High School
A local criminal defense attorney gave a presentation Wednesday to Raritan high school seniors about avoiding trouble on prom night.

HAZLET, NJ - This past Wednesday night, a local attorney gave a presentation to Raritan high school seniors about avoiding trouble on prom night. Albert Mollo is a criminal defense attorney based in Red Bank and this is the second year he has given this talk at Raritan high school, always around prom season.
The lecture is entitled "PROMblems" and issues he talked about that might arise on prom night include drunk driving, drug abuse, violence and sexual pressure and sexual assault. Not to mention the dangers of photos that might later show up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and can haunt a teen forever.
"I have represented young people with regard to all of these issues — alcohol, violence, sexual contact," Mollo said. "These arrests have resulted in criminal convictions, loss of license and jail time. Very, very sad stories of young people going to the prom looking to have a good time and this is what happens."

Mollo said he has represented many teens caught in a car with alcohol leaving the PNC Bank Arts Center or caught underage drinking at beach houses in Seaside Heights and elsewhere. He's also represented teens accused of unwanted sexual contact that occurred on prom night, incidents which they thought were consensual.
A snippet of Mollo's lecture is below and is worth watching for any parent of a teenager:
