On Thursday, November 7, 2013 Saint John Vianney High School had the privilege of enjoying a presentation by Old Bridge native Mike Wojcik. Mike was injured in an ATV accident and can no longer speak, eat solid foods or use his left arm. Mike discusses the idea of “Think Before You Act.” His story is a story of faith and inspiration.
The students of SJVHS were touched by his story and completely engaged during his presentation. After the presentation students took pictures with Mike, hugged him and talked with him about his life. “The presentation was amazing and I enjoyed every second of it. Mike's story reminded me that life is valuable and every decision we make is important. He inspired and motivated me to work harder in all of my endeavors. If Mike was able to rebuild his life with a substantial amount of brain damage and other physical limitations, then I can certainly achieve any goal I set my mind to,” Philip Walsh, grade and town.
SJVHS Grade town, Matt Mulroy, “the combination of his story and his message inspired me to think before I act and make smarter decisions.”
