Turnpike Crashes, Construction Delays In NJ: Patch AM Traffic Digest

Good morning, New Jersey Patch readers! Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your travel on Friday, May 13, 2022.

Traffic Updates

North Jersey

As of 7:59 a.m., there's an overturned tractor trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike eastbound exit ramp from Interchange 13A to Jersey Gardens Boulevard in Elizabeth. Left shoulder blocked, left lane of exit ramp blocked.

As of 7:09 a.m., there are delays at the Lincoln Tunnel center tunnel eastbound New Jersey Side - Toll Plaza in Weehawken. The travel time is 20 minutes from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 16E to the New York side.

As of 6:31 a.m., there are delays on Pulaski Skyway northbound approaching Tonnelle Circle in Jersey City.

As of 6:21 a.m., there are delays on the George Washington Bridge upper level eastbound New Jersey Side Toll Plaza in Fort Lee. The travel time is 25 minutes on I-95 from I-80 to the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

As of 5:34 a.m., there's construction on the George Washington Bridge upper level westbound ramp to Palisades Interstate Parkway in Fort Lee. 1 left lane closed until 2:30 p.m.

Central Jersey

As of 8:27 a.m., there's a crash on US 202 southbound north of CR 567/First Ave in Raritan Boro. All lanes closed.

As of 8:15 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound exit ramp Interchange 9 - NJ 18 in East Brunswick. All lanes blocked.

As of 8 a.m., there's a crash on the Garden State Parkway northbound entering at Exit 123 - US 9 in Sayreville. All lanes open.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on NJ 35 southbound south of NJ 36 in Keyport. Right shoulder closed until 3 p.m.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on NJ 37 in both directions from east of NJ 166 to CR 549 Spur/CR 571/Fisher Boulevard in Toms River. Right shoulder closed until 5 p.m.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on US 9 southbound north of CR 620/Church Road in Toms River. Right shoulder closed until 5 p.m.

As of 7 a.m., there's construction on US 206 in both directions from south of Princeton Avenue in Princeton to south of CR 533/Orchard Road in Montgomery. Right shoulder closed intermittently until 3 p.m.

As of 4:25 a.m., there's a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway southbound north of interchange 7A- I-195 in Robbinsville. Left shoulder blocked.

As of 2:32 a.m., there's a crash and a vehicle off the roadway on the New Jersey Turnpike outer roadway northbound Molly Pitcher Service Area in Cranbury. Right shoulder blocked.

South Jersey

As of 8:24 a.m., there's a crash on I-295 southbound north of Exit 19 - CR 656/Mantua-Grove Road in West Deptford. All lanes open.

As of 4:15 a.m., there's a downed tree on NJ 47 southbound south of NJ 55 in Millville. 1 left lane closed.

Transit Updates

North Jersey Coast Line and Northeast Corridor NJ Transit lines are under temporary schedule adjustments are in effect for the next six to eight weeks to accommodate major repair work to the Laurel Avenue Bridge in Holmdel. See here for updated timetables.

All other NJ Transit train lines are running on or close to schedule.

NJ Weather
