Undefeated! Triumphant Season for Strikers Girls U-13 Soccer Team

The Strikers, a U-13 girls soccer team that is part of the Holmdel Soccer Club, won their respective MNJYSA flight title this Spring soccer season.  

The girls went undefeated, posting an impressive 9-0 record against such opponents as Metuchen, Pennington, Millburn, Cranford, Monroe, Somerset Hills, Middlesex  and Union Beach.  

The team scored a total of 34 goals and allowed just 6.  

The Strikers are under the direction of second year Head Coach and Holmdel resident Evey Stanziale. Coach Stanziale attributes the success of this season to the girls working hard, being committed and there love of the game. "I'm very proud of the girls they have really come together as a group and are playing very well and having fun." 

 "It's just great having a team where everyone is from the same town,"  he said.

Seventeen of the eighteen girls on the team roster are Holmdel residents and many of the girls played on the Holmdel middle school Satz girls’ soccer team and plan to continue to represent there school and town for many years to come.
