Unlocked Cars Being Entered, Stolen In Hazlet

In the past week, several Hazlet residents have had their cars entered and burglarized. The break-ins all occurred in the early morning.

HAZLET, NJ — Unlocked cars are being entered and some have even been stolen in Hazlet, Hazlet police report.

Hazlet police said Sunday night, Sept. 22 that during the last week several Hazlet residents have had their cars entered and burglarized. A few of the vehicles were even stolen.

All the cars were entered in the early-morning hours. They had all also been left unlocked.

"So if your motion sensor light goes on or you hear a dog bark, please don’t hesitate to call 911," said police. "Our officers are actively investigating these crimes but we need your help. 1. HIDE YOUR THINGS 2. LOCK YOUR CAR 3. TAKE YOUR KEYS."
