Vitamix Container Blade Recall

Most of us who live in the Holmdel-Hazlet area are health conscious (including REALTORS®). We exercise, don’t smoke, watch our weight, and often buy organic foods. Many of us enjoy making smoothies at home, and to do that we may use a premium blender like a Vitamix. We have a Vitamix at our house and enjoy using it every day.

If you have a Vitamix and it came with a “64-ounce Low Profile” container, you should know that Vitamix has issued a voluntary safety recall because of a potential safety concern with the metal blades that were used in that specific container.

The Vitamix models that were sold with the Low Profile containers are the Vitamix 7500, the Professional Series 750 (pictured above) and the Professional Series 300. If you have one of those Vitamix models, look at the metal blades. The part number and the date of manufacture are etched on the top of one of the blades.

If the blade is part number 103208 A and the date of manufacture is before August 2013 (08-13), your container is included in the recall and should be returned to Vitamix so they can replace the blade.
