400 Heroin Folds Found During Traffic Stop: Sparta Police
Police say they also found 13 hypodermic needles.

SPARTA, NJ — Over 400 wax folds of heroin were found during a Monday afternoon traffic stop, Sparta police said.
Erin Phillips, 31, and Heather James, 40, both of Hawley, Pennsylvania were arrested after a Route 15 stop for a traffic violation turned up hundreds of doses of heroin, and multiple types of drug paraphernalia, police said.
James, who was driving, was pulled over around 1:15 p.m., police said. While speaking to James, Phillips, and another passenger, an officer noticed Phillips had pinpoint pupils and needle track marks on her hands, police said.

After asking about a rubber band and cut straw with a white powder on it, police received permission to search the car from James, police said.
Police say they found 414 folds of heroin, several empty folds, 13 hypodermic needles, a shoelace, and several small rubber bands in two purses.

Phillips and James said they owned the purses, police said, and were placed under arrest. Both women were charged with possession of heroin, hypodermic needles, and drug paraphernalia. James was also charged with various motor vehicle offenses.
A third person in the car did not have any drugs, police said, and was not charged.
James was released with an upcoming court date. Phillips was taken to the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility on warrants out of Pennsylvania.
