Ellen Hughes Balbi wishes she could be there. Wishes should could see the faces of her childhood. Wishes could tell them about her life.
Though a family engagement won't allow Balbi to attend the 40-year reunion of the Class of 1972 at Adam Todd in Andover June 30, she wishes her classmates a great time.
"Judging by the response of the classmates who will be traveling from far away and the reunion Facebook page, the excitement builds as the time for the reunion gets closer," Balbi said. "Many of our old teachers have even replied that they will attend."

One classmate, Kevin Moran, will even return from Costa Rica for the reunion, which will be preceded by a tour of the high school, thanks to Board of Education member and fellow graduate Frank Farruggia Jr.
"I think they will be extremely proud and amazed at hour our little school has grown," Balbi said. "We attended Hopatcong High School when it was just an elementary school, watched it become a high school and were one of the classes that established school mascots, colors, etc."
