'Best Journalists' Come from Hopatcong

Celebrate NJ! is a statewide writing contest designed to support language arts literacy while developing student knowledge about the scientists, inventions, technology, and environment of New Jersey.

Winners of the Best of the Best Writing Contest are chosen from hundreds of entries submitted by middle school students throughout the state. This year, five 8th grade students from Hopatcong Middle School were chosen as the Celebrate NJ! 2012 Best of the Best Journalists: Cassie Koets, Carly Hattrich, Khai Schooler, Becky, Scanlon, and Eldina Kucevic.

Winning students will be honored at an awards event at Liberty Science Center on June 3rd, where they will have an opportunity to share what they have learned through their research with the audience.
