Goodbye Friday shows through our fans' eyes!

Each week GBF will ask one of their fans to come backstage and hang out and see what GBF is all about then they can go home a write in our blog.

Each week, Goodbye Friday will ask one of their biggest fans to come join them at one of their shows . Come back stage and hang out and see what GBF is all about. Then they can go home a write in our blog . Please contact us at goodbyefridaynj@gmail.com.

Last week, it was Kealyn Engenhart from Randolph. She joined us at the Morris County Technical School's battle of the bands and this is how the show was through her eyes:

Despite some malfunctions with the mics in the middle of “It’s Our Weekend” this past Friday, Goodbye Friday kept on jamming out,  getting all of us longtime fans jumping on our feet and singing along like always, while easily impressing first-time audience members, as well!

Always beginning the show with “Love,"  just like GBF did at Morris County Vo-tech, never fails to pump up the crowd and prepare us for an awesome show ahead.

Once “Love” is over and we are all screaming for more, the band always plays “Scream for me Baby," a song from their soon-to-be-released EP. When Rocco, Mark, Aaron, and Ant cover songs, I know my friends and I get even crazier, just like this time at the battle of the bands! The boys decided to play their version of Sean Kingston and Justin Bieber’s “Eenie Meanie” while competing on Friday night.

Many of the other screaming fans seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much as I did as we all stood a foot away from the band and shouted the lyrics to this popular song. This was also the song they played during my favorite moment of the night.

During “Eenie Meanie”, Aaron reached down and handed me his guitar pick! That got me even more into the show and made my night. After two more songs, we talked with the four of them for a little bit, took a picture or two, and had to leave the venue. However, right before that, the best news of the night was released. Goodbye Friday won the battle of the bands!!! Even though I forgot to place my vote, the band had so many other fans out in the crowd that helped them beat many other talented groups. I wasn’t shocked after such a great performance.

One of the greatest things about Goodbye Friday is that they don’t play the exact same show each time… there is always something new and never the same set list. Last night GBF made the show even better by setting up a fog machine and filling the stage with clouds of fog!

But the one thing that never changes with Goodbye Friday is the people making up the band. Each one is such a nice, amazing person and makes me want to come back for every show! It’s clear that each of them is so passionate towards their music and dedicated to their fans. They are all so funny and definitely know how to keep us entertained, like they did once again! During the show, Rocco joked
around with a shirtless fan in the crowd, even playing him some exit music as he left.

Goodbye Friday played such an awesome show! But that was no surprise to me, especially after being to many of them already that were just a fun. For this reason, I am so excited for the next show I am able to attend! GBF has the entire package needed to become stars. After meeting them multiple times and becoming more and more familiar with them each show, I have no doubts that Goodbye Friday is going to make it very far. Last night’s win was just another piece of support that show that this band will really make it far, with excellent attitudes and awesome music!

They’re so down to earth and never seem to disappoint!
