Hopatcong's Earth Day Hike a Major Success

Saturday’s Earth Day Nature Hike sponsored by the Hopatcong Environmental Commission was a rousing success, enjoyed by all who participated.  It was a perfect day for hitting the trail and Cliff Lundin shared his extensive knowledge of the geology and ecology of the land, and the importance of preserving our open space and this valuable watershed.   He also related fascinating history of our town, our lake, and our trail system.   Special thanks to Cliff and to all who joined in this event; it was a very informative and enjoyable way to commemorate this year’s Earth Day.
