On the Freshwater scene the Knee Deep Club has stocked fish in the last Month to the tune of 1500 Trout all over 13 inches plus another 100 Trout between 3 and 5 pounds. In addition The Musky Trout Hatchery donated a monster Rainbow Trout weighing over 10 pounds. That is not a typo!! A huge Rainbow Trout over 10 pounds is waiting to be caught in Lake Hopatcong.
In addition on May 12th another 300 Trout between 12 and 20 inches were stocked in preparation for the upcoming Knee Deep Trout Tournament to be held on Sunday May 20th starting at 5AM and ending at 4PM. On the Delaware the river has risen, and the Shad are there just waiting to be caught. The fish are now spread up and down the entire river, with what seems to be the main body moving up from the South. Shad Spoons as well as darts are producing well for these great fighting fish. Also in the lower Delaware the Striped Bass are hitting well and are providing great fun for those who choose to fish for this fantastic fish.
