Saltwater Fishing is Hot for Stripers, Blues & Fluke Season Opens

Saltwater fishing is hot!!

One word to describe the recent saltwater fishing is HOT!! The Striped Bass fishing has been good from the Back Bay flats in Keyport to just offshore from Shark River up to Coney Island, NY. The Hudson River has seen some good fishing with a fish over 50 pounds being caught on the NY side, and weighed in the Bronx. Some bigger fish were on the move last week throughout the entire area. Bluefish are becoming more common as the season progresses with fish over 10 pounds being caught in the Sandy Hook Area.

The best news is that Fluke fishing STARTS on Saturday May 5th for those of us who just couldn’t wait it’s finally here!!  There should be some good Fluke fishing in the Rivers as well as just offshore in places like Deal, The Shrewsbury Rocks and the Sandy Hook area. Good luck and good fishing!!!
