Dan Domenech is an American singer, director and actor best known for his portrayal of Jason Dean in “Heathers: The Musical”, Drew in the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages” and a recurring guest appearance on “Glee”. &nbsp;Domenech has also appeared in the pre-Broadway runs of “Wonderland”, “Sister Act”, National/International tours of “RENT” and “Rock of Ages” and worked as associate choreographer for film and TV projects like “Tropic Thunder”, “Step Brothers”, “Fame”, The Academy Awards and Emmys. &nbsp;

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is delighted to welcome Lumos, “A Classical ABBA Tribute,” on Saturday, August 1, 2026. This unique, interactive experience invites the community into an evening designed to inspire imagination, creativity, and connection. Three sittings will be offered—5:00 - 6:00 PM, 7:00–8:00 PM and 9:00–10:00 PM—allowing families and individuals to choose a time that works best for them. Parking is limited, carpooling with friends or family is greatly appreciated.
Lumos is known for its engaging, story‑driven format that blends performance, participation, and wonder. Guests of all ages are invited to step into a world of light, discovery, and play—making it an ideal summer outing for families, youth, and community groups.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church to Host “Lumos” on August 1

Adrian Vandenberg is one of rock’s finest yet most underrated guitarists, known for his melodic fire, songwriting chops and four decades of influence. His band Vandenberg first hit the UK in 1982 on the Michael Schenker Group tour, turning heads with a debut album recorded at Jimmy Page’s Sol Studios and packed with hard‑rock standouts like “Ready for You,” “Your Love Is in Vain” and “Wait.” In 1983, “Burning Heart” became a major U.S. hit, leading to tours with KISS and Ozzy Osbourne and two more albums, “Heading for a Storm” and “Alibi”. Everything changed when Vandenberg played the iconic solo on Whitesnake’s 1987 smash “Here I Go Again.” He joined the band full‑time in 1986, co‑writing “Slip of the Tongue” and “Restless Heart” and helping drive Whitesnake through a 12‑year run of global success, sold‑out arenas and millions of albums sold.
Bassist Marco Mendoza has recorded and toured with some of the biggest names in music such as David Coverdale, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Neal Schon, Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries and more. Self-described ‘guitar freak’ Vinnie Moorerecorded and toured as a member of Alice Cooper’s band. He joined the legendary group UFO in 2023.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, located at 246 Woodport Road in Sparta, is delighted to announce a special musical performance by Bill McGowan of Pushingstone at an outdoor summer concert on Friday, August 21, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. (In the event of rain, the concert will be held indoors.)
McGowan, a self‑taught Christian musician, is known for his heartfelt, scripture‑inspired compositions. His music blends storytelling, reflection, and New Testament themes, especially the stories of women in scripture, creating a deeply personal and spiritually rich experience for listeners. This event is free and open to all. Free‑will donations are appreciated and will help support future events. Light refreshments will be available for a small fee, with proceeds supporting the outreach ministry of Shepherd of the Hills.

The Machine has forged a nearly 40 year reputation of extending the musical legacy of Pink Floyd.
