Car Left Unlocked And Running Burglarized In Hopatcong: Police
The driver knew something was off when other people in the Dunkin Donuts were acting suspicious.

HOPATCONG, NJ— You see it all the time. People leave their car unlocked, maybe even running, when they make a quick run into the store for one thing, or a quick cup of coffee.
"Don’t do that anymore," Hopatcong Lieutenant Thomas Kmetz warned in a press release about a daily occurrence like that that ended in two arrests.
A man left his car unlocked and running while he ducked into a Dunkin Donuts for a moment Monday night. He noticed people acting suspicious while in the store, and when he returned to his car, his cell phone and other items were missing.

Kasey Salgado, 20, of Great Meadows, was found with Xanax bars, gift cards and business cards which both had the victims names on them according to police. She was charged with burglary, theft and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She was taken to the Sussex County Jail until a hearing.
Kmetz encouraged other to write their names on gift cards.
"That is smart to put your name on the back of gift cards," Kmetz said. "I never knew to do that. We learn something new everyday."
