Career Fair Aids Job Seekers

A unique Career & Job Fair at Project Self-Sufficiency offered workshops as well as tips on employment and educational opportunities.

In addition to discussing job openings with area employers, attendees at Wednesday’s Career & Job Fair at Project Self-Sufficiency were invited to practice their interviewing techniques with professional recruiters and attend a seminar about the hiring process. “This Career & Job Fair offers those who are currently seeking work the opportunity to fine tune their interviewing skills, learn about the hiring process and gain the confidence necessary to land their next job,” noted Project Self-Sufficiency Career Center Coordinator Kyersten Rozanski.

Project Self-Sufficiency is a private non-profit community-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of low-income families residing in northwestern New Jersey. The agency’s mission is to provide a broad spectrum of holistic, respectful, and comprehensive services enabling low-income single parents, teen parents, two-parent families, and displaced homemakers to improve their lives and the lives of their children through the achievement of personal and economic self-sufficiency and family stability. Since 1986 Project Self-Sufficiency has served more than 20,000 families, including over 30,000 children.
