WHIZ KID: Chris Moore, a Versatile Student, Wins $1K Scholarship

Achievement: Winning $1,000 scholarship.

Key to Awesomeness: Moore, a senior, is a multitalented student. If he's not starring in a Hopatcong High School play, he's raising his hand in a classroom or finishing a mound of homework. Recently, the borough's Women's Club awarded Moore one of two $1,000 scholarships. "It was very difficult to choose," club member Pat Anderson said. "We had 30 applicants. We wish we had the money to give them all scholarships. We didn't choose top students. We looked at a lot of different qualifications."
