Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Sparta Office Supported Comfort Zone Camp As Part Of Companywide “Cares Days” Event
SPARTA, N.J. – (June 19, 2014) – The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Sparta office supported Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children, during this year’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Days. During Cares Days, sales associates affiliated with all of the real estate company’s 55 offices gave back through projects such as food drives, park clean-ups, and fundraisers to assist with the medical bills of community members in need.
Sales associates affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Sparta office raised funds through Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm, to help send at least 15 grieving children to Comfort Zone Camp (a cost of $7,500 per child). The office’s fundraising website is www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/sparta/cbrbspartateam. Donations are still being accepted, and any help the community can offer is appreciated.
The office also had a collection box at its 24 White Deer Plaza location on the Sparta boardwalk to accept donations of supplies for the camp such as arts and crafts items; toiletries including bug spray and sunscreen; electronics like walkie-talkies. digital cameras, flashlights and batteries; outdoor sporting equipment; cabin needs like sleeping bags and bedding; and gift cards for Target or Wal-Mart.

Charlene Fiorita, the branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Sparta, along with sales associate Lucia Zampini volunteered 56 hours on the weekend of June 6 for Comfort Zone Camp at Camp Mason in Blairstown. Sixty children were taught coping skills in grieving the loss of parents, siblings or primary caregivers through high-energy activities and healing circles. In addition, the more than 50 sales associates affiliated with the Sparta real estate office have assisted in raising donations for Comfort Zone Camp, which are $647 to date.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Sparta also volunteered at several area nursing homes including Valley View Care Center, Barn Hill and The Homestead in Newton and Andover Sub Acute in Andover. Charlene Fiorita, Lucia Zampini, Gina Lancellotti, Carmela Markham, Esther Hallacker and Fran Grebenstein planted flowers for each resident, played bingo with them, and brightened their day by listening to their stories.

During the second annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Days event, 846 sales associates volunteered a combined total of 3,341 hours to support 64 different organizations and causes. Through their efforts, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Foundation raised $22,775 for charitable causes. Sales associates also collected $9,000 worth of food, $1,500 in pet supplies and $8,400 in other goods for various organizations.
