Cops: Robber Hit Diamond Jewelry Store in Morris County

$1,000 reward offered for information leading to arrest.

Local and county authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who allegedly robbed a jewelry store in Morris County this week.

The East Hanover Police Department and Morris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robber that took place at Venicia Diamonds Jewelry store on Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover on Monday, Aug. 24.

The alleged crime occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 12:19 p.m., police said. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’11”, an athletic build and a goatee.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspect is asked to contact the Morris County CrimeStoppers by visiting copcall.org or calling 973-COP-CALL. Tipsters can also text 274637 using the word MORRISTIP. Anyone with information leading to an arrest could be rewarded $1,000.
