Cops: Woman Who Took Parents' Car Arrested With Hypodermic Needles

A Washington Township woman was arrested in Hopatcong after police say she took her parent’s vehicle and was in possession of hypodermic needles, Hopatcong Lt. Thomas Kmetz said.

At 3:41 p.m. on Sunday, Hopatcong police were asked to assist Washington Township police in finding a woman who allegedly took her parents’ car and fled the area, Kmetz said.

Officers arrived at a Leo Avenue home in Hopatcong and found the car in the driveway, Kmetz said. While outside the home, police saw Carly Sable-Windecker, 34, of Washington Township, and Anthony Lamicella, Jr, 49, of Hopatcong, Kmetz said.

They called out to Sable-Windecker, who responded to the back door while Lamicella fled to the basement, Kmetz said.

Per Washington Township police request, Sable-Windecker was arrested. During an investigation it was found the woman was in possession of two hypodermic needles, Kmetz said.

Lamicella was located in the home and handed over to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office for two outstanding no bail warrants for violation of probation from both Sussex County and Morris County.

Sable-Windecker was arrested and charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and turned over to the Washington Township Police.
