Coronavirus Concerns Cancel Sussex Harvest, Honey, Garlic Fest
The annual fall event which celebrates agritourism and ecotourism in the area, will not take place locally again until early October 2021.

NEWTON, NJ – As the realities of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continue across the country, the calendar of local events continues to be impacted as well.
On Wednesday, the County of Sussex announced that the 11th annual Harvest, Honey and Garlic Festival, which was scheduled to take place Oct. 11, has been canceled. The annual festival that takes place at the county fairgrounds celebrates agritourism, ecotourism and heritage tourism was canceled over ongoing concerns by state and national health officials related to the COVID-19 crisis.
In addition to recognizing Sussex County tourism, the annual event also included a local farmer’s market as well as displays by local artisans, crafters, vendors and pumpkin producers.

The event has been tentatively scheduled to take place Oct. 9, 2021, organizers announced.
