Drunk Driver Crashed Car In School Zone: Sparta Police
Police say the woman also had marijuana in the car.

SPARTA, NJ — A Vernon woman was arrested after crashing her car in a school zone while drunk, Sparta police said.
Kimberly Castro, 24, of Vernon, was arrested Sunday night, police said. Police arrived at the crash, at the intersection of Rt. 517 and Main Street, near Sparta Middle School, to find the car off the road with "obvious damage" and deployed airbags, with Castro standing outside.
Castro failed field sobriety tests, police said. Police say marijuana was in plain view in her car.

Castro was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a car, drink driving in a school zone and careless driving. She was released to a sober adult.
