EM Electrical Sponsors Pass It Along Bike Tour!
President and Club Member Eric Martino to Match Donations for Charity
SPARTA, NJ—This year’s Pass It Along Bike Tour is getting a boost from Eric Martino of EM Electrical. As if this great event isn’t rewarding enough on its own, Martino has partnered with Skylands Cycling, adding a donation matching challenge! Your charitable donation will go twice as far this year when you join his team!
Eric Martino recently announced his commitment to the event, stating “I will be matching and donating $30 to Pass It Along for each person that joins my team, and if anyone donates more than the registration fee, I will also match it up to $100. Email me if you donate more!”
Adding more excitement is a local competition! To raise awareness, local teams will compete to “Capture the Cup,” referring to the beautiful team trophies donated by Eastern Propane. One trophy will be awarded to the team with the most riders, the other will be awarded to the team with the most funds raised. EM Electrical is currently in top place, and wants you to help it stay that way! The trophies are currently being showcased at EM Electrical in Newton and Lakeland Bank in Sparta.

Pass It Along is a non-profit organization that helps teenagers become confident, resilient, and compassionate through self-discovery, volunteerism, and leadership. The focus on service learning, volunteerism, and mentorship helps set teens on the right path to success and good citizenship. The donations from the PIA Bike Tour help to fund these programs and provide teens in Northern New Jersey with life-changing programs and opportunities. Martino and his wife, Cheryll are passionate about the organization, and are thrilled to support this year’s event!
Eric Martino is a lifelong resident of Sussex County, and is committed to improving the community. His businesses, EM Electrical and EM Signs, are another way that he can show that commitment! Martino has also been involved in projects for the Sparta Public Library, Newton Soccer Team, and Morris Habitat for Humanity.

The Bike Tour is an annual event that welcomes riders of all ages and cycling levels. Three marked road routes take cyclists through 12, 24, or 56 miles of scenic Sussex and Warren County, and boast food, bathroom stations, and mechanical help. Even the little ones can enjoy the car-free “Kids Zone” for parents and children under 11. Keep an eye out for Eric—he will be riding the 56 mile route, wearing the Skylands Cycling club uniform.
The event will take place Sunday, September 14th, and will begin at Long Pond School in Andover Township. Those who register by August 25 will also receive a free event t-shirt. A $30 minimum donation will increase to $35 on September first, so sign up soon and reserve your space. The event starts at 8:30 a.m., but registration opens at 7, so make sure to get there early!
