Free Animal Care Careers Forum at Project Self-Sufficiency
Teens and adults are invited to learn about the background, education and skills needed for success in a variety of animal care careers.
A free seminar about animal care careers will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, March 29th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Dr. Carlos Abdul-Chani, veterinarian at the Byram Animal Hospital, will be joined by Seeing Eye instructor Ellen Ringle and Kelly Martin Munz, Centenary University Professor of Equine Studies, for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Animal Care Careers” will explore vocations such as veterinarian, veterinary technician, horse trainer, stable owner, canine behavior specialist, and other professions. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to register.
