Free Animal Care Careers Seminar

A free animal care careers seminar will be held in January.

A free seminar about animal caretaking professions will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, January 27th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Gallant Farm owner and ASEA Certified Equine Appraiser Joanne Friedman will be joined by pet groomer Kathy Kimball and veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Wyman for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in the varied fields involving animal care. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Animal Care Careers” will explore vocations like veterinary medicine, animal grooming, farm ownership, equestrian professions and more. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 to register. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
