Free Half-Day Caregiver Conference presented by Alzheimer's New Jersey
Alzheimer's Disease: Approaches to Care. A Sussex County Caregiver Conference. Saturday, November 12, 2016.

Alzheimer's New Jersey – in conjunction with Newton Medical Center, the United Way of Northern New Jersey, and Sussex County Division of Senior Services Aging and Disability Resource Connection/ADRC– will present a half-day program for caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia on Saturday, November 12, 2016, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Newton Medical Center, the Romano Conference Center, 175 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. The program – given annually – includes breakfast and resource tables with vital information for caregivers in addition to featured speakers from area medical and legal practices. There is no fee for attending this program. Those interested in attending must pre-register with the Alzheimer's New Jersey by calling 1-888-280-6055.
Conference Details
This free half-day conference for family caregivers will provide a thorough overview of Alzheimer’s disease with a focus on care and treatment options, and offer the opportunity to ask questions of the presenting physician. The conference will also address the importance of legal and financial planning for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families, and provide the opportunity to ask questions of the presenting attorney. Additionally, there will be a session on responding to behavior changes in Alzheimer’s disease. Access to key community agencies will be promoted through the many resource tables featured at the event.
