Free Health Care Careers Seminar this Month
A free seminar about careers in the growing field of health care will be offered at Project Self-Sufficiency on March 26th.

A free seminar about careers in the growing health care field will be offered to teens and adults on Thursday, March 26th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Medical oncologist and hematologist Dr. May Abdo-Matkiwsky will join Newton Medical Center Community Health Coordinator Maureen Cianci and Sussex County Community College Program Coordinators Dawn Latincsics and Tara Nast for a discussion of the background, education and the tasks that accompany careers in the health care field. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Health Care Careers” will touch on jobs such as physician, nurse, home health aide, certified nurse aide, EKG technician, phlebotomy technician, pharmacy technician and more. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 to register. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
