Free Mammograms in March

Free mammograms will be offered at Project Self-Sufficiency on March 31st.

On Thursday, March 31st, a mobile mammography van will be available at Project Self-Sufficiency to offer free mammograms to eligible women. To receive a free mammogram, women must reside in Sussex or Northern Warren Counties, be uninsured or underinsured, and over the age of 40. Some income eligibility restrictions apply. Mammograms will be offered by appointment only, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The free mammograms will be offered with funding from the proceeds of the High Point Girls Field Hockey Team’s Play Pink event, which took place in January. High Point Field Hockey Coach Beverly Keur stated, “Our hope in the High Point Field Hockey Program Play Pink events are that through awareness, education, and prevention we will empower young girls and women to care for their health, their families' health and also be able to make a difference for the families who are battling cancer. We hope that through leading healthy lifestyles there will be a better tomorrow, and that through our Play Pink games and events, we will be able to help in the search for a cure for cancer.”

Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton. Interested participants are encouraged to call Project Self-Sufficiency at 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to schedule an appointment.
