Free Seminar about Outdoor Careers

A free seminar about careers which involve working outdoors will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, October 26thth, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. New Jersey Fish & Wildlife Conservation Officer Douglas Applegate will be joined by Foodshed Alliance Executive Director Kendrya Close and educator David Pede for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in outdoor careers. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Outdoor Careers” will explore vocations such as environmental scientist, conservationist, animal behaviorist, teacher, naturalist, farmer, horticulturalist, and other professions. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to register.
