Free Workshop for Families Struggling with Challenging Kids
Learn about services for families with children who are struggling academically or behaviorally.

Project Self-Sufficiency will host a free workshop, “Interventions and Supports for Families,” on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 6:00 p.m. The presentation will discuss early and intensive services and supports for students struggling academically or behaviorally. Information and resources for strategies to be used in the home or at school will be presented. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. The workshop is presented by the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network, the leading parent advocacy agency whose mission is to empower families and to inform and involve professionals and other individuals in the healthy development and educational rights of children.
Project Self-Sufficiency is a community-based non-profit organization which specializes in services for low-income families in northwestern New Jersey. Programs offered at Project Self-Sufficiency include family literacy education, computer training and job placement services, assistance with parenting skills, childcare, counseling and advocacy, referrals, and help with emergency basic needs.
