Get Active at the Place Where Farm Meets Fun!

AUGUSTA, NJ—Put down that phone and step away from the couch: Saturday, August 8th is Get Active Day at the New Jersey State Fair! To promote our community focus on activity and excitement, Fairgrounds organizers have adopted the theme of “Get Active” for a special day of the ten-day extravaganza!

While most Fairgoers are active during Fair week, the question is what to do during the rest of the year? Many adults and children in the United States do not get the amount of exercise or physical activity that they should be getting, which can lead to health problems and can lead to feeling like a dreaded “couch potato.” Fortunately, our community has a number of great ways to Get Active and have fun at the same time!

The Fair is an active experience on its own, but “Get Active Day” will feature demos and exhibitions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on August 8th. See the variety of activities that are available for the community, including local martial arts courses, exercise opportunities, and interactive activities for children and adults. Use this year’s Fair as a way to jumpstart the rest of your life and Get Active!

Tickets for this year’s Fair are: $13 adults, $9 seniors, $6 children 6-12, free for children under 6, $9 adults after 8:30, veterans and current military free! Megapass (1 day admission and ride bracelet – advanced ticket purchase only!): $28 Adults, $25 children. Tickets can be purchased at The Fairgrounds office or at local partners in the surrounding areas.
