High Speed Motorcycle Chase Ends In 3 Arrests: Sparta Police
At one point the motorcycles were going 104 miles per hour through Jefferson and Sparta, police said.

SPARTA, NJ — A high speed motorcycle chase through Jefferson and Sparta ended in the arrests of three men, Sparta police said on Monday.
Christopher Pena-Jimenez, 23, Isaias Vasquez-Encarnacion, 27, and Jose E. Fernandez, 39, all of the Bronx, New York, were arrested after Sparta police say they led officers on a multi-town chase with speeds over 100 miles per hour.
The chase began Friday before 3 p.m., police said.Three motorcycles were driving fast and erratically on Route 15 from Jefferson. The lead bike was going 104 miles per hour, police said.

Police turned on their emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the three drivers. They "recklessly exited" onto Route 517 and then onto West Mountain Road to try and lose the officers. At that point, Sparta police called the chase off to avoid injuring officers or the public, but alerted other towns.
A few minutes later, police in Hardyston found the three motorcyclists at the end of a dead end street. Sparta police confirmed they were the same drivers.

All three drivers were charged with resisting arrest and eluding, reckless and careless driving, failure to use signal, improper passing and failure to keep right. Vasquez-Encarnacion was also charged with speeding
The three were taken to the Keogh Dwyer Correctional Facility with upcoming court dates. The motorcycles were impounded and could be subject to forfeiture.
