Hopatcong Expands "Little Chiefs Preschool"

The “Little Chiefs Preschool” is an integral part of the Child Development Curriculum at Hopatcong High. It is considered a “laboratory school” where high school students interested in child development and/or a career in education, learn, plan, teach and observe children in a preschool setting. The preschool program prepares and builds cognitive, social and emotional skills in children preparing to enter kindergarten.  The focus of the preschool curriculum is on literacy and math in addition to the arts and dramatic make-believe play.  Additional curriculum information can be found at https://www.oncoursesystems.com/school/webpage/12555025

The “Little Chiefs Preschool” is a preparation program for kindergarten and will be offered part-time and full-time, three days a week beginning October 6, 2015 and ending June 2, 2016. The preschool will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Hopatcong High School. Full-time preschool will run from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm. Half day preschool will run from 9:00 am - 11:30 am.  This preschool program is open to toilet trained four year old children in Hopatcong.

The application is available online and in the High School Guidance Office. There will be an onsite registration on Thursday July 30, 2015 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am in the High School Guidance Office.  Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.  The tuition for the full-day program is $400.00 a month and for the part-time program $200.00 a month. A tuition grant will be taken iconsideration in cases of financial hardship.  Base on enrollment, a before and after school Day Plus program will be available.
