Hopatcong Fire Department Rescue Person Trapped In Car

HOPATCONG, NJ— Hopatcong Fire Department rescued a person from a car after it rolled over, fire officials said in a statement.

Firefighters responded to the Sparta-Stanhope Road accident at 7:40 on Thursday night. One person was trapped inside the car, which had rolled over onto the roof.

The road was closed temporarily in both directions as responders worked to remove the person. The car was stabilized, and firefighters used airbags to remove the person.

They were treated by the Hopatcong Ambulance Squad.
