Hopatcong Students Create Awesome Project

Tulsa Trail School book club families create human circuits.

The following is from .

“Welcome to the Outback” were the Dr. Mullane, principal of Tulsa Trail School, used to great each of the twenty-four families who attended the last Book Club of the school year. During the Literacy/Science Night, students applied their knowledge of electricity and energy transfer by creating their own alarm circuit based on the story entitled ”A Reminder for Emily” which takes place in Australia. Upon entering the “Outback,” (Tulsa Trail Library) students listened to Educational Support Person, Mrs. Yanko, as she read the story and had families demonstrate their knowledge of the design process by forming a human circuit. Both Dr Mullane and Mrs. Yanko supported the families in creating an actual alarm circuit.  The project was funded by a grant from First Energy.
