Hopatcong Grad's Workout Video to Pay for Mammogram

graduate Vicki Vara, wife of Athletic Director Tom Vara, has created a fitness video that she hopes will eventually help pay for a Sussex County woman's mammogram. Read more about it in 5 Things You Need to Know Today.

2. You Need to Know The Purpose: The V. Method's website says it is a "comprehensive exercise and nutrition program will result in the lean, strong, healthy body you have always dreamed of."
3. You Need to Know Her Credentials: A University of Delaware graduate with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, Vara is a Pope John XXIII High School physical education teacher and personal trainer.
4. You Need to Know How the Donation Works: Vara will donate $3 for each video sold in a new state. When Vara reaches all 50 states, the $150 donation will be the equivalent of one free mammogram.
5. You Need to Know Where the Donation Will Go: To the Sussex County Women's Forum, a non-profit "dedicated to assisting women and their families whose lives are impacted by a cancer diagnosis," according to its website.
