VERNON, NJ — New Jersey State Police came to the aid of an injured hiker on Saturday, who suffered a possible stroke while hiking in Waywayanda State park. In this video, below, you can see police airlift the man into a medivac helicopter.

The hiker, a 33-year-old man, became injured near Terrace Pond around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said. Ambulances couldn't reach the man, who was far off the road in a rocky area.

Police still made their way to the possible stroke victim. A helicopter lowered Trooper Joe Villalta-Moran to the ground, who helped hoist the man back into the helicopter.
