J.P. Perry Joins Project Self-Sufficiency Board of Directors
J.P. Perry has joined Project Self-Sufficiency's Board of Directors.

Project Self-Sufficiency proudly announces that John P. (J.P.) Perry has joined the agency’s Board of Directors. Perry is a partner at insurance agency Henry O. Baker, who is looking forward to assisting Project Self-Sufficiency as it moves into its 30th year. Project Self-Sufficiency is a local non-profit organization which helps low-income families in northwestern New Jersey to attain economic self-sufficiency and family stability.
“We are delighted to welcome J. P. Perry to the Board of Directors at Project Self-Sufficiency,” commented Beverly Gordon, President of the Board of Directors. “His enthusiasm and commitment to the families we serve will help to guide the agency through its 30th anniversary year and into the future.”
Perry, a partner at Henry O. Baker Insurance Group, has been involved with Project Self-Sufficiency for about eight years. “I’m drawn to it because my philosophy is simple,” he notes. “Everybody deserves a chance and Project Self-Sufficiency gives women and children a chance. What an opportunity to be able to give back.” An avid golfer, Perry first became involved with Project Self-Sufficiency through its annual golf outing. Over time, he joined the agency’s Leadership Council and assisted with other fundraising events. He gleefully donates large quantities of toys to the annual Season of Hope Toy Shop and is looking forward to donning a Santa suit at agency events this year. “My big thrill is seeing the kids,” admits Perry. “There wasn’t anything like Project Self-Sufficiency around when I was a baby.” Geographical expansion of the agency’s donor base is a key goal. “I have a lot of contacts outside of this geographical area. I want to show them this organization which I think is absolutely tremendous.”
