Lifetime Walmart Banishment For North Jersey Woman Who Shoplifted

Hopatcong woman is no longer permitted to shop in any of the chain's stores in the country, report says.

A Hopatcong woman’s shoplifting admission from a Morris County Walmart store came with more than a few fines and some community service.

A Mt. Olive Township judge took her sentence one major step further, banning the 63-year-old woman from ever stepping foot inside the discount retailer’s stores across the country, according to newjerseyhills.com.

The admission of guilt stemmed from a Dec. 6, 2014 incident in which Cassimore was caught by store security trying to walk out with $78 worth of vitamins, nj.com reported.

In the two weeks since the decision was handed down, Cassimore has refused to rollback on her superstore jaunts.

The shopper has already defied the ruling by frequenting the chain’s locations, according to nydailynews.com. “No one knows me at any other Walmarts,” she told the Daily News. “I won’t shop at the one (where she was arrested) anymore. I’m not stupid.”

Cassimore was indicted in October 2012 by a Sussex County Grand Jury for allegedly stealing her daughter’s identity during a five-year, five-month period, during which she obtained items and services for herself, the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

In addition to the lifetime banishment from the store, Cassimore racked up $258 in fines and 10 days of community service, newjerseyhills.com reported.
