According to the Attorney General’s office, which is investigating the case, Barreau believed the three teens were there to burglarize his home. As explained by Baker in the phone call, the teens fled, drove down the road and turned around in the cul-de-sac. When they attempted exiting the neighborhood, they found Barreau in the road, Baker said, and were forced to swerve around him.
