Little Sprouts Welcomes Celebrity Reader Sara Megletti
Local business owner Sara Megletti recently read several books to the children at the Little Sprouts Early Learning Center.
Sara Megletti, owner of PB&J Stores on Spring Street in Newton, recently paid a visit to the pre-school classroom at the Little Sprouts Early Learning Center to read several fall and Halloween-themed children’s books as part of Project Self-Sufficiency’s Celebrity Reader program. “Seeing Halloween through the eyes of little learners was a perfect way to start my week. The kids surprised me with enthusiastic singing and participated in the stories that we read together. The staff at Little Sprouts creates a fun, festive environment and does a great job of keeping kids happy and engaged. I truly enjoyed my visit.”
The Celebrity Reader program is a component of Project Self-Sufficiency’s Family Literacy Program, which exists primarily to assist parents with obtaining their GED or with passing the college placement exam. While in the program, parents also engage in a variety of activities designed to promote literacy within the entire family.
Project Self-Sufficiency is a private non-profit community-based organization dedicated to improving the lives of low-income families residing in northwestern New Jersey.
