Sparta Residents: Main St. Closure Thru May 8

May 4, 2020

Starting on Monday, May 4th, 2020 Main St (between the Sparta Municipal Bldg and Glen Rd) will be closed to all traffic from 7am to 4pm. After 4pm, Main St will re-open to the motoring public until 7am on Tuesday and will then close again during the day from 7am to 4pm. This closure will be in effect each day through Friday, May 8th, when work is to be completed. The road will be open each night to traffic. All signage and detours will be in place to inform the public. All vehicles traveling on Main St from Rt 517 & Station Rd will be routed up Glen Rd, across East Mountain Rd and back onto Woodport Rd. All vehicles traveling north on Main St will be routed onto Town Center Drive to Rt 517, which will enable them to access the Rt 15 south ramp or continue north on Rt 517. All considerations have been made to lessen the closure impact on the public.
