The global pandemic has forced changes and brought complications many of us could not have foreseen. No matter your situation or how COVID-19 has affected you, mental health is something we all must take seriously and do our best to recognize when we or our loved ones and community members need help. As May is Mental Health Awareness Month, please keep the following tips for coping with stress, especially during COVID-19, in mind:
- PAUSE. Breath. Notice how you feel
- TAKE BREAKS from COVID-19 content
- MAKE TIME to sleep and exercise
- REACH OUT and stay connected
- SEEK HELP if you feel overwhelmed or unsafe
