Monster Mash 3K Dash

The Monster Mash 3K Dash Run/Walk is a Halloween-themed 1.86 mile run/walk during the twilight hours on the paved walkways and millings trailways in Turkey Brook Park where we encourage everyone to come in costume! Then once everyone joins us back at the finish line we’ll get all our monsters mashing with great music, campfire, food & more FUN!

The Monster Mash 3K Dash Run/Walk is a rain or shine event. Registration fees are considered donations to the Mount Olive Recreation Department and are not refundable or transferable.

No registration required FREE!

Onsite registration will open at 5:00pm and will remain open until 15 minutes before the race start. Please show up early if you intend to register onsite.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is not a competitive race. We firmly believe that families should get out and move together. This run/walk can be done at whatever pace you feel most comfortable and we’ll just be thrilled to have you there participating.

Kids and strollers are welcome. We want kids to be a part of this! Decorate their strollers as part of their costume! Pull them in wagons. Although portions of the course will use trail ways in Turkey Brook, we will not be on rough terrain in the woods.

Dogs and bicycles are prohibited. For the safety of all our participants and for the dogs, NO DOGS or bicycles will be allowed on the race course.

Nothing will be too spooky or scary. Although we encourage everyone to come in costume we do ask that this stay a family fun event, thus no costume should be gory, gruesome or deemed otherwise inappropriate for a young audience. We also promise we won’t have anything jumping out at you along the course.

Bring your flashlight. Yes, we will mark the course with glow sticks and glow in the dark tape but who can deny that playing with a flashlight is always FUN! Just to ensure everyone’s safety we encourage all participants to run/walk with a headlamp or flashlight.

Will there be food for sale? YES! Philly Pretzel of Hackettstown will be on site selling hot pretzels and drinks for our little monsters and their guardians to stay well fueled during the event.

CAMPFIRE COSTUME PARTY

Join us at the finish line where we’ll have a nice campfire going to everyone to enjoy, a DJ getting all our monsters mashing with Halloween themed tunes, the opportunity to trick or treat amongst our sponsor booths and yummy food for purchase from Philly Pretzels!
