LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ - New Jersey State Police are seeking information regarding a speedboat that fled after it struck another vessel in Lake Hopatcong on Monday.

The hit-and-run, which caused “extensive damage”, took place in the area of Elba Point at around 9:40 p.m., state police said. The speedboat is described as a white 20-foot vessel with damage to the bow. It reportedly struck the rear of a pontoon boat before leaving the area, state police said.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash, state police added.
