Power Outage Hits Half Of All Hopatcong Homes

The outage has caused a local summer camp to close for the day.

HOPATCONG, NJ — Half of all homes in Hopatcong woke up Monday morning without power, according to JCP&L.

3,068 of the borough's 6,608 JCP&L customers do not have power as of 8:22 a.m. The outage is caused by downed power lines and, according to the JCP&L website, should be fixed by 11 a.m. on Monday.

The power outage has closed camp at the Durban Ave School Monday.
