Outages Force Hopatcong Schools to Close Monday

Hopatcong schools will be closed Monday due to power outages.

It's the borough school district's first snow day of the year, and it came much earlier than expected as a pre-Halloween storm dumped almost a foot of snow in some places in Hopatcong.

Last year, Hopatcong had six snow days—none before January.
