Quiz Show to Feature Hopatcong Whiz Kids

Seniors can't divulge contest's outcome until it airs on MSG Varsity Feb. 14.

Another squad has taken "The Challenge."

Brooke O'Donnell, Michael Sickles, Steven Munoz, Sarah Indano and Colleen McNamara, alongside advisors Heather Delbagno and George Segale, competed against Eastern Christian High School. The show will air on MSG Varsity at 6:30 p.m. Feb 14.

O'Donnell and Sickles said the students couldn't comment on the outcome of the quiz show's first-round matchup until it airs. Munoz was the team's captain. McNamara served as an alternate.

Last year, Stamatiki Clapsis, Alexandria Rossy, Felicity Meyer, Grace Marchena and Kelcey Brennan reached the .

Participating schools advance through a series of elimination rounds, with one school in each region being crowned regional champion and winning $2,500 for their school. The winning teams from each region go on to “The Challenge” championship where they square off in a Tri-State Showdown. The school awarded the title of Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 in prize money and each student participating in the final “Challenge” championship game will receive $500.
